Superleague heads for Europe!

This years Superleague returns to action next week and heads for European competition, with 32 teams of the Superleague elite competing for the ultimate crown of the UCD AFC Super Champions League!UCD AFC Super Champions League

To celebrate 5 years since our famous Europa League run which saw us beat F91 Dudelange of Luxembourg over 2 legs, before facing Slovakian giants Slovan Bratislava, what better way to mark the return of the Superleague by adding a European twist to the remaining stages of the competition.

The return of the Superleague is a major boost for over 500 players, giving them the option to return to playing the game they love in a safe environment.

The 32 teams have been split into 8 Groups of 4 teams, with teams playing each other team in their Group twice, before the top two teams from each Group qualify for the UCD AFC Super Champions League last 16 knockout rounds, with 3rd and 4th place in each Group enterring the UCD AFC Super Europa League last 16 knockout stages.

It is a major milestone for the club which will see the final section of the club return to action under strict new protocols in line with the FAI Safer Return to Play Protocols. All other sections of the club have already returned, with our League of Ireland squad are back in training ahead of next weekends return to competitive action, our Leinster Senior League squads returned to competitive action last weekend, our underage squads are back in training ahead of next months return to action, and our summer camps also returned this week with places available for the next 4 weeks.

Best of luck to all teams involved over the coming weeks!
