Elverys Sports Superleague 2010/11

The UCD AFC Superleague is back for another year. This year Elvery's Sports will sponsor the competition ensuring that UCD AFC Superleague players will get fantastic value for money on all their football kit, from jerseys, shorts and socks, to boots, shin guards and footballs, Elvery's are the one stop shop for this season's Superleague player.Larger_Louts

The Superleague is a football league solely for UCD Students. Teams are formed by groups of students who wish to come together to compete in one of four divisions and two cup competitions. Matches are played on Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons. Applications for the 2010/11 Superleague will be accepted during Fresher's Week.

IMG_4912The 2010/11 Superleague season also sees the introduction of the UCD AFC Halfway Challenge Competition. Each first team home game 2 Superleague teams will be invited down to the UCD Bowl to take the Challenge Sponsored by Dutch Gold. Each team will have 2 minutes to get the ball from the edge of the centre circle, into the net without bouncing. The team with the highest score after their 2 minutes of madness will receive a prize sponsored by Dutch Gold and D2 nightclub. The Halfway Challenge Leaderboard will record how each team has done throughout the season with a Grand Final to take place at the end of the Superleague Season.

The final of last year's Superleague Cup was held in the UCD Bowl and there was live commentary on www.action81.com. There is also extensive coverage of the Superleague in the two university newspapers. 

The Superleague is a great opportunity to play football at a competitive level in a relaxed environment. Players can join the league as individuals and will be assigned to teams or they can form a team themselves.
