Preview: UCD vs St Pats

Kick-off: 7.45pm, UCD Bowl, Friday 1 MarchSSE-Airtricity-League

We are back in SSE Airtricity League Premier Division action once more on Friday night as we host St Patrick's Athletic at the UCD Bowl at 7.45pm. St Patrick's Athletic have got off to a great start this season, picking up seven points from their opening three games, and they will be looking to keep the pressure up on Bohemians at the top of the table tonight. Speaking ahead of the game, Collie O'Neill feels that his side are starting to settle into life back in the Premier Division with each game they play, however he knows his side will be up against it against an inform St Patrick's Athletic.

"We are starting to settle into Premier Division football. It is definitely a big step up from the First Division for us, however we knew that going into the season, our performances are improving with each game we play and if we keep performing then the results will come. On Monday we went to the league champions, put it up to them, played some great football and created some good chances, and on another night we certainly could have got something out of the game."

"We know tonight is going to be another tough game. St Pats will be confident of keeping up their good form, however we played well against Dundalk and we know we can raise it another gear again from that and if we can do just that then we might surprise a few people and pick up a positive result to kick start our season."

Collie O'Neill will be missing Evan Osam and Kevin Coffey for Friday night's game against St Patrick's Athletic at the UCD Bowl. Evan Osam is still in the early stages of his recovery after surgery on this ruptured achillies and is likely to miss the majority of the season. Kevin Coffey injured his calf in last week's game against Bohemian's and is hopeful of making a return to training next week and is targeting the Sligo Rovers game for a potential return. Gary O'Neill is a doubt for the game with a rib injury.
