UCD AFC took part in the SalesForce Penalty Shootout in aid of the Irish Homeless World Cup Team.
The sun shone in Sandyford Industrial Estate and it was terrific reward to the tremendous amount of work that the SalesForce team put into creating a brilliant event. UCD AFC had their own representation as people from all corners of the Industrial Estate and further afield came to kick a few footballs at celebrity goalkeepers while helping to raise much needed funds for the Irish Homeless World Cup team.
Mick Leahy lead his team of 5 sharp shooters but they could not find their way past a number of goalkeepers enough times to head the leader board. Kenny Egan was most notable between the sticks as he put paid to UCD and Robbie Benson's attempts to put UCD at the top of the leader board. Paul Corry was the sharpest of shooters as he converted all of his three attempts. Tyrone McNelis, Samir Belhout and Robbie Benson were less impressive in front of goal.
It all ended in smiles as the lads got what they came for, a snap with Irish Silver Medal winner, Egan and the opportunity to help out Irish Footballers less fortunate than themselves.
