Schoolboy clubs in the under 8s catergory descended on UCD for the UCD AFC Under 8s Bltiz.
UCD AFC's second Blitz of the year was a roaring success with the noise made by all the under 8s boys waking Collee from his early Sunday slumber.
Under 8s teams from Broadford Rovers, Mt Merrion, Lakelands FC, Shankill FC, Park Celtic and Railway Union turned up to enjoy a wonderful morning of football.
Martin Russell and his first team players, Danny Fallon, Gavin Colton, Ger Barron and Sean Russell put the boys through their paces in a coaching session before they were unleashed to the UCD 5 a side cages where they put the skills they learned into practise.
It was a wonderful morning and all of us at UCD AFC would like to thank the parents and children involved with all the clubs for participating in such a great morning. We will be seeing the boys down in the UCD Bowl soon playing at half time in one of our Airtricity League Premier Division games.
