Last week saw the UCD AFC Summer Soccer Camp reach the halfway point.
The fourth week of the UCD AFC Summer Soccer camp finished up last Friday and here's what some of hte the kids had to say about their week with the first team players and coaches at UCD. Max: "My favourite game is killer cone and the competitions that we play in the afternoons. I did the camp last
Easter as well. My favourite coaches are Jamie Moore and Robbie Benson."
James: "Hotseat and penalties are my favourite games, they are really fun. This is my second week in a row doing the camp and I won a prize last week and my favourite coaches are Mark McGinley and Cillian Morrison."
Josh: "This is my first time doing the camps and I love the matches in the afternoon. Its great fun and I will definitely do it again. My favourite coaches and Jamie and Cillian and my favourite games are shooting stars and penalties."
Cain: "I have been doing the camp for seven years and I love the game British Bulldogs and Skittles. My favourite coaches and Ger Barron, Mick Leahy and DOC. I've been cycling to the camp this week, yesterday I got a puncture and Bourkey from UCD fixed it and on Thursday I fell off my bike and cut my knee but Macker patched me up."
Alfonso: "I am from Madrid and am in Ireland with a family for three weeks. I enjoy the skills and the coaches show me how to control and pass the ball. I support Sevilla and if I come to Ireland next summer I will come to the UCD camps."
Mark: "This is the fourth UCD camp I have done and I have scored 205 goals in the competitions that we play in the afternoon. I love Jail and my favourite coaches are Paul Corry, Jamie and Robbie."
John: "I've been doing the camp for two weeks. My favourite games are Killer Cone and Shooting Stars. I've learned ball control etc from my coaches and my favourites and DOC and Ger."
David: "Well I like doing Killer Cone a lot, It’s so fun because you get to knock people's balls off their cone.
We learned stepovers and other tricks. I'm always here early because I live nearby. Cillian and Mark are the best coaches."
