U19s Report: UCD 5 - 0 Wexford

Having bounced back from defeats against Shamrock Rovers and Cork City with three wins on the bounce, Ian Ryan's side enterred this game looking to continue their good form and keep the pressure on the leaders at the top of the table. Two goals from top scorer Gareth Coughlan, and goals from Aaron Robinson, Simon Power, and Liam Scales handed UCD a comfortable win.SSE-Airtricity-League

2015/16 Open Days

opendays

UCD have a great tradition of bringing through some of the SSE Airtricity League’s best players and we are delighted to announce the dates of our annual open days ahead of the forthcoming 2015/16 season for both our under 19 side and our new under 17 side.

Both of these sides will compete at the highest level in the country at their respective age groups, with our under 19 side recently being successful in winning the Enda McGuill Cup after a 3-2 win against Derry City. We were also delighted that four of our cup winning team were selected for the Irish Schools Team which last week won the Centenary Shield after victories over Northern Ireland, Wales, and England.

As well as being able to offer players the opportunity to play for one of the country’s top clubs with access to top quality facilities and coaches, UCD also offer a potential pathway for players through our Scholarship scheme which allows players to combine their football with studying for a degree at one of Ireland’s premier Universities.

Our 2015/15 open days will allow potential players the opportunity to come see the club for themselves and to learn more about the opportunities before them. The date of our open day for prospective under 19 players for the 2015/16 season is Saturday May 2nd.

Players are requested to meet at the UCD Bowl at 10am and should bring full training gear.

The previously announced under 17 open day has been postponed and will now take place at a later date which will be announced soon. We apologise for any inconvenience this postponement may cause.
