UCD came out on the wrong end of the seven goal thriller on Sunday

Lots of goals at The UCD Bowl on Sunday as UCD hosted Shamrock Rovers in the first game of the new Airtricity League U19 Elite Division.
Rovers, who finished 3rd last year, we 3-0 up in 12 minutes with the opening goal coming after just 40 seconds. UCD's Darren O'Donoghue played a backpass but goalkeeper Niall Corbet
slipped and the ball went straight in for an OG.
On seven minutes it was 2-0, UCD failed to clear a cross and Rovers scored and on 12 minutes it was 3-0. A nightmare start for UCD.
Corbet made an excellent save minutes later to stop it from becoming 4-0 and then UCD settled down and began to play.
The goal of the game came soon afterwards to make it 3-1. An excellent pass from Matt Collins set Liam Traynor free up the line, and his cross was brilliantly headed in by Robbie Slater.
Rovers made it 4-1 a couple of minutes after the restart after a counter attack but then UCD began to play and were the better team for the remainder of the game.
Matt Collins was set through by Sean Coyne, he rounded the keeper to make it 4-2 before Colm Crowe made it 4-3 with a great finish after a cross from Ayman Ben Mohammad.
UCD had the Shamrock Rovers goal under seige for the last twenty minutes and missed a couple of good chances but just couldn't get that all important equaliser and it finished 4-3.
UCD travel to The Carlisle Grounds to play Bray Wanderers on Saturday with a 12pm kick off.
UCD team: Corbet, Traynor, Byrne (Ben Mohammad, 55), Cantwell, O'Donoghue, Whelan (Malone, 60), Coyne, Crowe, Zayed (Aravadze, 55), Slater, Collins.
