Preview: UCD vs Waterford FC

Kick-off: 7.45pm, UCD Bowl, Friday 23rd JuneSSE-Airtricity-League

Collie O'Neill's side face a difficult challenge as they look to bounce back from last week's 2-1 defeat against Shelbourne on Friday night against league leaders Waterford FC. After Maxi Kouogun had given us a first half lead against Shelbourne, two second half goals saw Shelbourne turn it around and come away from the UCD Bowl with the three points. Speaking ahead of Friday's game, Collie knows his side are in for a tough test against table toppers Waterford FC.

"Waterford are on a great run of form, they are top of the table, five points clear, unbeaten since the opening game of the season and everyone's favourites for the league. We know we are going to be up against it, however if we play the way we know we can then we will have every chance of picking up a good result."

This will be the third time we have faced Waterford this season, as they emerged with a 2-0 victory here at the UCD Bowl earlier in the season, and the tie in the RSC finishing 1-1 after a great game.

Collie will be without his captain for the game as Gary O'Neill has been ruled out of the tie, however Simon Power returns from injury and an extended break for the Leaving Cert and comes into contention for Friday's game.

Injured: Gary O'Neill
Doubtful: None
Suspended: None
