Midfielder Paul Corry has been called into the Ireland U21 squad

UCD AFC are pleased to confirm that 21 year old midfielder Paul Corry has been called into the Ireland U21 Squad for tomorrow night's UEFA European Championships Qualifier against Turkey at the Showgrounds in Sligo.
Manager Noel King rang UCD boss Martin Russell during this afternoon's training session to inform him of the call up.
Paul scored an 88th winner against Shelbourne in Tolka Park on Friday night, capping off a run of impressive performances which have let to interest from a number of English clubs.
He has been capped at U15, U16, U17 and U23 level. He played for Belvedere as a schoolboy where he captained his side to two FAI Cups. 

He may have played his last game for UCD on Friday with interest from a number of English clubs meaning he could be on the move across the water.
Manager Martin Russell said "We are all delighted that Paul has been called up to the U21s, it's a great boost for him personally, and something his performances have deserved."
"He has been in great form this season and we may not be able to hold onto him for too much longer."
Paul is the only player currently playing in the Airtricity League to make the Ireland U21 squad.
Corry said "It was a bit of surprise to be told by Martin on the side of the training pitch, and I'm just heading off the drive down to link up with the squad in Sligo."
"If I get the chance to play hopefully I'll do well"
"It's good to get a bit of recognition for some good performances recently... One of my targets at the start of the season was to get myself back around the fringes of the international squad and hopefully I can push on from here."
