UCD came away with one point from the Tallaght Stadium when 3 would ahve been more appropriate.
UCD added another point to their A Championship total following a frustrating draw with Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght. UCD continued in the same vain as their previous performances, moving the ball cleverly and cutting open the Rovers defence with ease only to let themselves down when in front of goal.
Stephen Roche ran proceedings for UCD in the first half, firing a free kick just over and feeding Stephen Doyle who in turn played in Samir Belhout but his effort was wayward. Graham Rusk had a shot that came back off the bar and Roche fired his rebound off the post.
The waves of pressure continued towards the Rovers goal with Stephen Doyle, Samir Belhout and Tom O'Halloran finding themselves in goalscoring positions only to fluff their lines.
UCD come away from Tallaght Stadium knowing that another two points have passed them by but comforted by the knowledge that they continue to play attractive football that creates chance after chance.
