FOUR POINTS BETTER OFF

placeholder It was a very good holiday week end for UCD with four points won against St Patrick's Athletic and Bohs. But manager Martin Russell has told his players to concentrate on Friday's game at Bray Wanderers. 'I was delighted with the performance, says Martin 'But we must focus on the next challenge to maintain progress. There are no easy games in this League and Bray's current position at the foot of the table is irrelevant. He has a point. When Bray came to the Bowl earlier in this season it was a close encounter, with the Students prevailing by a single Ciaran Kilduff goal. But Mr Russell must be heartened by the way all his young players have bridged the gap between First and Premier Division soccer this season. 'Everyone who has come in has done well,' he says, 'Which means that we have credible cover in all positions. It puts a positive spin on the work in hand.' There were a few bumps and bruises after the weekend but the manager expects to have all his options available when it comes to team selection.
